For dental professionals

  • I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from Endeavour College of Natural Health in 2018. I am a practicing member of the Naturopath and Herbalist Association of Australia (NHAA member number 156570)

  • I often refer clients both for routine blood tests and functional medicine testing such as:

    • Oral microbiome profile (Nutripath)

    • Dried urine hormone testing (DUTCH test)

    • Complete gut microbiome mapping (Nutripath)

    • Other tests relevant to the client’s systemic health picture

These tests are used to gain quantitative information regarding client health at baseline, measure the efficacy of treatment and to ensure that treatment interventions are as specific to the root causes (and compounding factors) as possible.

Routine blood testing can help to rule out critical nutrient deficiencies, confirm blood sugar or insulin issues and measure inflammatory markers, among many other factors affecting dental and oral health.

  • I value a collaborative approach with dental professionals and other practitioners. With the consent of our mutual client, I am happy to share relevant details of testing and treatment.

  • I am currently refining my referral process. In the interim, you are welcome to direct any curious clients to my website where they will find information on how to book a complimentary discovery call.

Not all of your patients will be interested in learning or changing their health. Those who are asking why me? Or who want to know what else they can do improve their dental health outcomes are the most suitable for referral to me.

If you would like to contact me for further information, please see the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Initial Consultation

I take a thorough case history which explores oral and gastrointestinal health, hormonal health, lymphatic and cardiovascular health, liver and thyroid health, lifestyle stress, diet and review any existing test results.

Clients leave with a better understanding of their systemic health and an interim treatment plan to address the most obvious factors affecting their health.

Treatment begins

The second consultation includes a discussion of any test results to connect the dots between their oral health and broader systemic health.

This consultation is also used to fill any information gaps and to begin targeted treatment using diet and lifestyle modifications as well as herbal, nutritional and probiotic supplementation.

Ongoing support

Most clients choose to meet monthly in order to monitor progress, continue education, adjust the treatment plan, renew herbal prescriptions and ensure accountability.

Many interventions require a minimum of twelve weeks in order to take effect - and longer to create lasting change.

I encourage clients to persist with the treatment plan for three months before expecting results although most will see tangible benefits sooner.

Investigations

Following the initial consultation, clients are referred for any agreed upon investigations to help complete their clinical picture.

I use these results to conduct any research required and to refine my treatment plan.
