What to expect as a new client
The Initial Consultation
Your first consultation is an information gathering session. Together we will work through your whole health picture with a fine-tooth comb in order to identify why your dental or oral health has become an issue (or why dental care alone isn’t fixing it) By the end of the initial consultation you will have a better understanding of how your health is impacting your teeth and gums. We will discuss your treatment options and decide on the best course of action together. In the days following your appointment, you will receive a treatment plan that outlines your treatment goals, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations and any relevant testing or supplementation suggestions.
The First Return Consultation
This is a follow up consultation that generally occurs two to three weeks after your initial consultation. In this appointment, I will interpret and discuss with you the results of any testing. You have the opportunity to ask any questions that have arisen from the first weeks of treatment. It is also a good time to address any obstacles that are preventing you from implementing your plan consistently. You will leave this consultation with a good understanding of why you are experiencing your symptoms and what you need to do over the coming months in order to create tangible change.
Ongoing Return Consultations
Return consultations are offered every four weeks to measure progress, adjust your treatment plan when required and provide consistent support. As your symptoms and overall health improves, return consults can be spaced further apart. Depending on the complexity of your case, return consultations can be shorter or longer in length as agreed upon at the time of scheduling,

What is the process?
Once the appointment has been booked you will receive a confirmation email containing an intake form to complete (please complete before the day) and a link to the consultation meeting room
Consultation calls are hosted on Zoom conferencing software - you can use your computer or smartphone. If using your phone (recommended) please download the Zoom app before the appointment to save time. Please make sure you have audio and video enabled.
At the time of the appointment, just open that meeting link from the confirmation or reminder email and the consultation will begin
How are you able to provide treatment online?
At the end of the consultation I will explain your treatment plan to you and what you need to do over the following weeks
A comprehensive treatment plan will be emailed to you and will include your treatment goals, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations as well as a prescription for any practitioner-only herbal, nutritional or probiotic supplements
Recommendations for private pathology testing or functional medicine tests will also be communicated to you
The key limitation of an online consultation is the inability to perform any clinical examinations. If I have any concerns that would require physical examination (blood pressure, abdominal examination etc) I will recommend that you see your GP
What about testing?
If we agree to pursue investigations such as routine blood tests, you may like to request the suggested tests from your GP to avoid out of pocket costs
I am also able to refer you for functional medicine testing that look at how your body is performing certain processes such as hormonal metabolism, digestion or micro-biome function. These tests are an out of pocket expense.
For functional medicine testing, I submit a referral directly to the laboratory and you will receive a home test kit with detailed instructions so that you can collect the sample (stool or saliva for example) and send it back to the lab. You will make payment directly to the laboratory. Results will be released to the referring practitioner (me) and I will interpret them for you in our next appointment.
How do you dispense the herbs and other medicines?
I use two online natural medicine dispensaries (Vital.y and Natural Chemist) which allows access a wide range of practitioner quality products including herbal medicines, nutritional supplements and food products
Having access to such variety allows me to tailor treatment specifically to you - I can choose the product that is best for you rather than choosing from limited stock that needs to move off my shelf before expiry
After the consultation, you will receive an email from the online dispensary that includes a link that takes you to your personal account
In your personal account, your prescription will be waiting, so that you can see the products that I have prescribed and the price
You can then review and purchase the prescribed products at your convenience which removes any pressure to buy during the consultation
Vital.y or Natural Chemist delivers your order within a few business days depending on your shipping choice (just like any other online purchase)
What about Herbal Tinctures?
Herbal tinctures are a blend of liquid herbal medicine that I formulate specifically for you based on your case presentation and goals for treatment
Natural Chemist is the dispensary that I use for herbal tincture. I simply upload my prescription, and Natural Chemist will dispense and arrange delivery
What is the investment?
The initial consultation is $225.00 AUD
Return consultations are $180.00 AUD (60 minutes) or $135.00 AUD (45 minutes) or $90 AUD (30 minutes)
The price of products is variable as each prescription is unique to the client. In this way I am able to provide personalised medicine that is appropriate to you. Prescriptions can vary from $50-$300 AUD
I provide the treatment protocol and prescription - it is ultimately your choice how much money you invest in the prescribed products
